FCB Rugby is a Catalan rugby union club. The senior team currently plays in Group D of the Primera Nacional, the third level of Spanish rugby union after the División de Honor and División de Honor B. The club play their home games at the University of Barcelona and belong to the FC Barcelona family. The club was formed on November 21 1924.
Before the Spanish Civil War, the club where champions of Spain on three occasions and champions of Catalonia seven times. During the 1940s and 1950s FCB were won of the strongest rugby clubs in Spain, winning a further 10 Spanish championships. In 1953 and 1954 they won the first Spanish league titles. Since the 1960s the club has gone into decline and were subsequently relegated to lower divisions.
